lemme just say, you wanna drive through wisconsin, stay at Ho-Chunk casino or a cheese resort, you're safe.
you want real feral cats you go to the University of Dar es Salaam in Tanzania. they make "feral kid" from *The Road Warrior* look soft. DO NOT put your hands anywhere near Tanzanian feral cats, even though you realize you should not since they have slit eyes and scarred up faces and showing ribs. a hunk of goat fat *does not* make the Tz feral cat yer friend, even for a second. you might realize one reason why said feral cats are so feral, when you see a student punt one away from his table.
am not sure about the campus monkeys, as they don't get so close.
Imported on behalf of: Dan Whatever happened to just tying them up in a sack and tossing them in a lake?
There were a couple of cats that started hanging out at my house - a mother and her son kitty. April has been in contact with the Humane Alliance, but there's all kinds of hoops she's had to jump through and no action has been taken on their part, and there's all kinds of red tape...long story short, now we have 7 cats.
Imported on behalf of: Dan I laughed and laughed as it happened. Then I laughed and laughed when I downloaded the picture and saw that I captured that expression. To her credit, she crawled right back up and did it again.
The other day, there was some sort of incident, and April wasn't sure what had happened. Apparently, Emily wanted to give the kittens a hug while they were nursing, and the mother cat freaked out. April found Emily in the opposite corner of the room crying. There were no scratches or any other obvious cat-related injuries, but there is an unexplained bruise on the top of Emily's ear. That hasn't deterred Emily from trying to love the kittens to death though. Yesterday, she was right back at it.
Imported on behalf of: Big Cat I believe Firefox is the source of the mysterious double posts. I only seem to get them when using it. *Begins to wonder about mysterious connections between Lee and Gates* hmmmmm...

ReplyDeleteThe image of a bunch of yokels parading around to shoot cats is so ridiculous that it should be sublime.
Nice pics of little E by the way, Dan.
Lee, Scofield played a show here on Sunday so that's why I didn't make it up your way. I plan to do so in the near future, however.
-Let Hunter hunt the cats.
