How was your weekend?

I installed a new light fixture in our foyer on Saturday. This is a highlight from the instructions, though the real kicker comes in step 5, when they fail to mention that the wires need to pass through the "nipple collar." I didn't discover the truth about the nipple collar until after the wires were taped together and stuffed into the junction box.

As you can see, I've decided to start writing to myself again. I got derailed from the My Southern Summer project, first by my son's broken leg, then by some traveling, and finally by a good bit of sickness. Also, laziness.

I'll add more books to the thread, as I read them. Right now, though, I'm reading Spring Snow by Mishima--reading recommended by the Mumby one Christmas in July. While the latter is Southern, the former is decidedly not.
