The Guardian Obliges List Fetishism

Following the NY times, The Guardian has solicited nominations for the best British novel of the last 25 years and assembled the list of winners.

The introduction takes itself a lot less seriously than its American counterpart, but it undervalues comic novels as does its American cousin. Still I prefer this one, because I haven't read many of the books. There are a few of which I've never even heard, and that's what makes these things interesting.

Also, it appears I have an answer to my question, which Coetzee book to try next. I'll add Disgrace to my ridiculously long, mortality-contemplation-inducing to-read list.

Looks like I done broke yer sassbacks, at least on the Francine Prose piece.

I don't know how you managed to post the same message twice, but one of them being listed first, before posts created much earlier, was a bug in my code, which I've fixed now. Thanks.
